A 2-year-old boy wearing nothing but shoes wandered away from his home around 9:30 Sunday morning.
It was a shock to his parents when police came to the door because they had no clue their son was even missing.

Charles explained that the period from Sunday into Monday seemed to last forever.
"Missing our kids," he said during an interview in his family's front yard, still scattered with toys and diapers. Charles says the couple does not do drugs. He says he was in bed with the 2-year-old boy while his wife was studying.
He says the little boy got up and left out the back door.
Neighbors say and Charles admits that it's not the first time this has happened.
"It's happened one other time at the Dollar Tree, he said. "But like I say, the kids, they get away, they sometimes get away."
Charles says he's done more to secure the yard, including working on a privacy fence, a makeshift fence on the porch to keep the children in and fixing the locks on the doors.

Charles blames CPS for that happening. He doesn't know where his daughter is. He says he wants her to turn herself in to authorities.
