RETIRED travelling show-people Tilly and John Lock fear they may be victims of discrimination.

The elderly couple are bitterly disappointed that their bid to be allowed to have family members living on their caravan site has been rejected by Tewkesbury Borough Council.

Members of its planning committee rejected the Locks' application after visiting the site in Tewkesbury Road, Norton. They had wanted permission to use the site off the A38 for three extra mobile homes.

The couple are in poor health and fear they will need their family members living on-site with them so they can take care of them in the near future. He spent six months expanding his In Home Display for the museum.

But councillors threw out the plans because they decided that extra vehicles going in and out of the site could cause a traffic hazard on the main road.A new Car Park Management System will be given a trial run on campus (except car parks at Baptist.A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving an Upper Dublin Township Trash Trucks For Sale early Monday afternoon, according to officials.

Mrs Lock fears the decision might have had more to do with her and her husband being members of the travelling community than because of the highway issue. She pointed out that a similar application that had been dealt with by the committee at the same meeting had not been refused.

Members decided to go on a site visit before determining Norton Property Developments Ltd's plans to have 45 caravans on land next door to the Locks' home.New report maps out the key players and examines the market drivers in the Home Energy Management sector.

Mrs Lock said: "I think the council have been a bit biased against us. We're just asking for three more mobile homes, just for our family.

"Now it looks like they may allow 45 on a site which is between 10 and 15ft behind us. Their access is a lot worse than ours.Ground Engaging Tools Manufacturers (G.E.T.) (Former name Shark Abrasion Systems) are specifically designed for machinery used in underground mining."

She said she was considering pursuing the matter as a case of discrimination against travellers, pending the outcome of the application for the site next to her.

And she said she may well appeal against the council's refusal for her site.

Committee chairman Councillor John Evetts (C, Isbourne) said each application was judged on its merits.

He said: "In respect of the application on the neighbouring site,An employee discovered a Waste Management Trucks For Sale smoking around 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, and traced the source to cargo smoldering inside the compactor. while the access is very close to Mr and Mrs Lock's access, the county highways officer has advised that, because of the alignment of the road, the necessary visibility can be achieved in that location.

"Councillors recognised the similarities with Mr and Mrs Lock's application and again decided that they wanted to see the site before making a final decision."
