The issue promotes the magazine's "in-depth look into the life of a seemingly normal Boston teen" and is stirring a firestorm of controversy.
The magazine defended the cover on Thursday, issuing a statement that reads: "Our hearts go out to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing,Not sure if i need to buy wheel spacers online. and our thoughts are always with them and their families," Rolling Stone said. "The cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone's long-standing commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage of the most important political and cultural issues of our day."
