The Brokerage Team at the World of Work Careers Centre organised the tour in partnership with lecturer, Geraint Phylip-Jones; the group were accompanied by Andy Byrne, Careers Adviser for the Faculty of Technology and Environment.

Geraint Phylip-Jones said: “The site visit was very informative and it was good for the students to get out of the lecture theatre and see the realities of a shipyard for themselves. This sort of exposure to industry is vital to the students’ understanding of marine engineering and helps contextualise their lectures.
