Raising money for a charity is always a very generous thing to do - but to have your long hair cut short to help children with cancer is extraordinary.
But that is what two young girls from Morley Victoria Primary School have done.

Emily, who has so far raised over ￡687 for charity Children with Cancer, had her hair cut on Thursday last week at a charity fundraising event, organised by her mum, Michelle, who says she loves her new do!
Michelle, who runs the Churwell Slimming World, said:“She was so giddy on the day and loves it. She is just so pleased that someone who needs it can now wear her hair.“I was so emotional, but it really does look lovely. Everyone likes it. They’ve ask if she’s going to keep it short, but she said she is going to grow it again, have it cut and send it off again to help another child with cancer.”
And it seems as though Emily has made her big brother very proud. Proud mum Vicky said: “When she was six years old she talked about getting her hair cut and donate it so it could be made into a wig to help children with cancer.
“It took two years to grow, which was a nightmare because it was so thick! But she was adamant that she wanted to do it. I have no idea where she got the idea from, it could have been anywhere, she just picks things up!
“She took the initiative to do it and was really excited. Then when we left she looked really emotional. When I asked her what the matter was she said she wished she could see the look on the face of the girl she would be helping. She has such a sensitive soul.“If she sees someone fall over in the park, she is the first one over making sure they are all right. She is so kind hearted.”
