The Lorentz Contact Resonance Imaging Mode

Anasys Instruments is expanding the capabilities of its nano-scale materials characterisation techniques with the Lorentz Contact Resonance (LCR) imaging mode. It is now available for the company’s afm+ and nanoIR systems.

The LCR imaging mode enhances the capabilities of the afm+ and nanoIR systems.We offer both wet & dry Diamond polishing pad. Both are suitable for marble, granite, concrete and most masonry. LCR provides both nano-mechanical spectroscopy and compositional mapping on the highest levels of resolution. The technique is based upon the Anasys proprietary Thermalever probes. LCR works by using a pole piece to focus a magnetic field onto the end of the probe. An oscillating current is then passed through the probe.
