MULTI-PERIL Crop Insurance (MPCI),titanium alloy suppliers property information is scattered amongst a number of disparate sources. or Crop Mitigation Insurance, could be in line for State Government assistance following a recent meeting between The WA Nationals and Latevo International.

Latevo International chief executive Andrew Trotter was at the Dowerin GWN7 Machinery Field Days last week and met with a number of key WA Nationals including Member for Agricultural Region Paul Brown,If you like BMW cars, then you will probably like their new gaming mouse, the super sexy, sleek as a Titanium Sheet products suppliers off the pressing mat Level 10 M Gaming Mouse. Member for the Central Wheatbelt Mia Davies and Nationals leader Brendon Grylls.

While details of the meeting are being kept private, it is understood that Latevo made a presentation about the product to the party.

Following the meeting a spokesperson from the Parliamentary National Party said "Members of the National Party were briefed by Latevo International last week.Titanium Pipe products is made by cold rolling process from extruded pipe blanks. They are widely used in heat exchangers and off-shore equipment.

"The Party is currently considering its position on the provision of government support for MPCI products and has written to the Minister for Agriculture in relation to this matter."

It is not yet known what the options are for State Government support and what The Nationals are looking at, but a key issue with Latevo's MPCI product for farmers has been the $3000-$5000 application fee for an audit by RSM Bird Cameron.

Member for South West Region Nigel Hallett has already written to Agriculture and Food Minister Ken Baston about possible assistance earlier this year and has not yet received an official response. The approach uses fine Titanium Wire products, laid one on another like a potter working with coils of clay. These wires are then smelted together in the rough shape of the desired component, cutting wasted material from potentially as much as 70 percent to as little as 10 percent.

The other option was Doppler Radar Technology (DRT), which Mr Hallett also previously wrote to Mr Baston about.

Mr Baston told Farm Weekly on Tuesday he had not yet received the letter from The Nationals and shut down any suggestion of assistance for farmers during the application process.Caged Laser Engineering, in partnership with Ariel Ltd and Reynolds Technology, aim to investigate the viability of adopting High Quality Titanium Tube as a cost effective raw material for the manufacturing of spaceframe assemblies for low volume and small series production lightweight vehicles.

"The State Government is not in the business of underwriting the costs of insurance companies," Mr Baston said.

"But we have been working with different insurers who are exploring bringing new products to the WA market by providing base data."

Mr Baston said the Department of Agriculture and Food (DAFWA) can provide companies interested in providing insurance products with detailed yield and rainfall data, along with supporting information such as soil mapping and frost risk.
