RIDING a Russian tank is a different way of doing some carefree motoring.

You don't need to worry about traffic (just drive over cars) and a little water does not matter, as they tear through the water at a fast running pace.

But trying to sneak up on the enemy (that was their role) is a bit tricky - they are super noisy,Our full range of portable ultrasonic Flaw Detector (UT) provides unmatched capabilities for locating discontinuities and other flaws. belch diesel fumes and don't exactly offer armchair comfort.

But they are lots of fun.

Tassie Tank Adventures is run by military enthusiasts Troy Walker and Paul Bartlett and they offer rides on their Russian-built 1987 model MTLB armoured vehicle. The Spectrophotometer is an instrument which measures the amount of light of a specificed wavelength which passes through a medium.

I went for a 30-minute ride on their track near Epping Forest yesterday, with Mr Bartlett driving.

You ride the bumps by bending your knees and driving over crushed cars (one looked like a Commodore I used to own) was a blast.

Then there is the bit where you launch over a rise and through a big puddle (more like a small, profile projector is a shop tool used by designers and quality control technicians to view the profile of small machined parts as magnified image on screen. muddy swimming hole) and out the other side without missing a beat. For mains, there is a choice of Wild Rice’s ‘Chinese Fish ‘n Chips’ (beer-battered ling cod, Asian Tartar Sauce, taro shoestring frites) or its ‘meaty’ Grilled king oyster mushroom (with cashew ricotta and polenta fries).

The MTLB is not actually a tank but it has tracks, is big and looks like a tank (without the big gun),He has dried mushrooms all year and fresh mushrooms in season. "We also collect mushrooms from foragers. so it is a tank to the average person.

They have imported the MTLB, along with other Soviet-era hardware, from Poland and offer rides, with ticket prices ranging from $35-$75.

You wear military helmets and thick jackets and Mr Walker repeats his most important piece of advice - HANG ON TIGHT.

The tank's top speed is 70km/h and we got to 50km/h on the flat bits - but it felt a lot faster with the belching fumes and roaring engine.

It is a fun way to spend the afternoon.

The tank has a 300 horsepower engine, six forward gears, carried 10 soldiers and lots of radios in a space a little larger than a station wagon,Highly capable, 3-axis non-contact video measuring machine, suitable for both simple shop-floor quality control and advanced manufacturing inspection applications ... weighs 60 tonnes and guzzles about a litre of diesel each kilometre.
