Two members of the Wisconsin wrestling team will compete at the 2013 ASICS U.S. Senior World Team Trials this weekend in Stillwater, Okla., in hopes of representing the U.S. at the 2013 Senior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

“It’s an exciting time for both of those guys and an exciting time for our program,” Wisconsin head coach Barry Davis said. 

Ruschell is hoping to carry the momentum he created at the Northern Plains Regional in May to the trials, something Davis says he can do as long as he keeps the offensive mindset that propelled him to his first-place finish. 

“Kyle is ready,” Davis said. “Winning in Waterloo was a great turnaround for him.
